       I  can’t vouch how true all these are but I happen to read or listen here & there. In my favourite novel “Calcutta Chromosome “, theme is that Ronald Ross discovered malaria medicine by covert intervention of  members secret society.  They manipulate Ross into discovering medicine as the time for it has come. And from behind the curtains they run whole charade where Ross believes he discovers medicine. Similarly though indias freedom was hard fought by our leaders, some say, it was divine will & time has come for its freedom & all principal actors are pushed into game by unseen forces.

They say, its natural that people believed in occult & spirituality in those days. Both Gandhi & Godse were aware of these things. Gandhi was kriya yogi who was initiated by Paramahamsa Yogananda (famed author of Autobiography of Yogi) is said to know his time is on earth is running out & demanded all correspondence to be finished a day earlier before he was shot by Godse.... who himself practiced occult & saw future in fingernail (this art in South is called Anjanam). Often this is used by police in cracking tough cases in rural areas of South India.

Esoterically speaking, Aurobindo Ghosh was Revolutionary& believed in path of gun to kick the British out. Its said when he was in Jail, in his meditation, Krishna/Vivekananda appeared to him & instructed him to dedicate his life to self realization as Goď has chosen other leader & path for India. Subsequently Aurobindo goes to pondicherry to start world famous Auroville whose byproduct today is Kalki kochelin actress, child of one of those initial hippies who settled in Auroville

The chosen one was Gandhi. Though Gandhi was ordinary bania barrister, it is said, one of siddha yogi joined as one of his disciples & influenced by planting ideas of ahimsa, non cooperation etc in minds of Gandhi. This siddha yogi was from Siddhashram @Gyanganj@Shambala etc where deathless Saint Babaji lives. He saw that Gandhi understood psyche of British & Nazis. Had he picked path of violence, it would have crushed brutally like in 1857.After work is done, that yogi quietly left as he came. How true?.no clue.but entertaining

Kargil- War on peaks

 Where soldiers from all regions(including north east), religions (including islam) backed by all other overt n shadow agencies fought most bloodiest battle in history of india. There was no religion here except Patriotism. There was no race here except Tricolour. That's Kargil conflict for you all in brief.

I specifically mentioned All Regions coz we tend to associate armed forces mostly to north India when we had martyrs from North east and south India also. All Religions again,patriotism is assumed as owned by some religions while ignoring others esp when Muslims soldiers as well died for perching flag on frozen heights.

It was not just army, but also commandos from Navy ( MARCOS) Paramilitary, intelligence (RAW-VIKAS commandos), Airforce gave their blood on snowy peaks. Again wars are fought on multiple fronts. Be at borders or in Board rooms. Other agencies like Diplomats swung world's opinion to back India; Intel agencies who were able to tap mushraff secret secured call from China to paki field commanders. That single call nailed pak's lies to world and changed America views on kargil conflict.

Loc region is always Grabbers Keepers. Musharraf plan was perfect. Occupy peaks & stay on. What he couldn't factor in was grit of jawan of Indian army. War was bloody & brutal & no holds barred. Fighting uphill, with scant resources ( only then Indians realised we lacked what we need in high level mountain warfare) was sheer mind-boggling challenge. But grit of Indian army was made more tougher than iron nails. They soon conquered the peaks. Kargil was fought led by young officers. Sacrifices of these young officers Inspired even veterans, legends were born.

After 1971 war, Pakistani POW Gen Niazi was confined in Jabalpur cantonment. Eminent journalist Kushwant Singh interviewed him & in some context asked him what's urdu inscription hung behind him. He said " Allah stands on side of truth". Kushwant Singh then said " yes, India won because India was on side of Dharma". Same applies to kargil.

What happened later was sadly Like any other major crisis incident. Review commitees set up, blame game between armed forces vs intelligence agencies vs political class while no one took blame (remember how 1971 war credit was taken by everyone).

 Kargil & 1971 war are two wars I read extensively. As kargil issue happened between May-July 1999, these memories rose in my mind & spontaneously written this post. 

Happy Independence Day

I always get very excited on significant days related to Nation. When you see huge national flag being unfurled, it’s impossible not get lump in your throat with pride as patriotic emotions sweep across the country.

This blog is not about our country but with regard to people who still haven’t tasted political freedom in their lives. We never realize how priceless are our freedoms that we enjoy without any limited and freedoms that we take granted. 

A casual look in newspapers international section, we can understand how many nations such as Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan etc struggle for life and existence. Peace for them seems to have become elusive and utopian as absolute chaos is the order of the day.

H.H.DALAI LAMA

Forget far off lands in Middle East, let us look at our own neighbourhood: China. I remember some Chinese citizen saying how he couldn’t contact someone online coz of Great Fire-wall of china, and how impossible for them to criticize their ruling class and strict censorship in society. Anyways, these stories are hear say and read from different sources. I dont want to talk about authoritarian chinese govts as this blog is not about politics. This blog is of common people in uncommon situations

I happen to get 1^st hand information from Tibetan refugees in India. By some unknown reason, since childhood I had great affinity towards Tibetan culture and esp esoteric sciences of lamas and Mahayana Buddhism . Blame it on Lobsang rampa books which I have devoured in tons and tons that fired my imagination. Moreover Tibet’s topography is just mind blowing (google those images dudes). 

Last  week I happen to meet a 3 year old tiny tot in Tamilnadu . believe me, She had the most beautiful eyes on this planet. In due conversation with her mom, I was surprised to know that she fled Tibet at age of 16. At age of 16, she along with dozen Tibetans fled and undertook arduous and most dangerous trip of their life time across snowy Himalayan mountain ranges.

I asked, in what sanity, would one risk life and limb just settle in India? Her reply was simple “Meet H.H.Dalai Lama” 

i do understand abut Dalai lama .H.H.Dalai lama is magnet of human hearts. It’s impossible not to be charmed by his infectious smile. but still..i was skeptical.

She had to trek in nights and hide in caves or under snow in mornings. Chinese soldiers and Frost bite are constant dangers.  If detected by Chinese, they will shoot with no compassion and impunity. It’s quite normal for refugees to get hand or leg amputated when struck by frost bite. But once they come into territory of India, 
they believe that all these dangers are worth encountering.

Loveliest Eyes

Once escaped to India, they have to forget their families back home as their families in Tibet will have to face wrath of Chinese if known they are still in contact. But their families gladly take this discomfit with belief that their children in land where H H Dalai lama is living. They know they get better life in India than in their own land

India is one of the or maybe the last bastion where Tibetan culture is still preserved in its original form, as she was saying, that back home, Chinese are ravaging Tibet culture, changing demographics, crushing dissent . In Chinese Tibet, its treason and unforgivable crime to carry even stamp size photo of Dalai Lama. 

I countered saying, aren’t Chinese also giving high speed trains and bringing hi tech development into Tibet which they lacked?

Namgyal, another young Tibetan who was born in India to original 1^st generation refugees simply countered 

“Then why did 100+ monks burn themselves to death in Tibet in last one year”

Praveen, you are born in free country and enjoy unlimited freedoms; hence you just don’t kno;w the value of basic freedoms. Thousands of Tibetans flee Tibet to come to India. Parents of children as young as 10-12 are sent to escape to India with full knowledge that they would never again see their children and they might even fall prey to Chinese bullets or nature’s fury in Himalayas. Why? So that they can be free in India. 

It doesn’t matter how beautifully golden the cage is , even if cage is made by rubies and diamonds, still it’s a cage. Its man s basic urge to remain free.”

Well, that explains things. Google about Tibet and its struggle buddies (www.tibet.net). One cannot help feeling proud about our great nation which has given home and hope of freedom to lakhs of Tibetan refugees in their adopted land (India). Tibetans in India have their own Govt-in-Exile, schools, flag, taxes, administration etc.we can proudly say that there is another country within our country (albeit invisible and unrecognised)

Happy Independence Day, my dear friends. …let us respect the sacrifices our freedom fighters undergone to give free life which we now enjoy, while dozens of nations and its citizens still crave for basic democracy

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY...!!!

Just cracked a record, In past 15 minutes I might have scanned 150 channels yet watching none. Had I been any western country I might have  been diagnosed as someone with ADD. Attention deficit disorder. In this half-sleep half wake moment, my ears caught dialogue on sony tv

“Do you want to fight for change or Do you want to fight to punish?” …

my entire laziness shot down and my alertness shot up.  That line was from film Gandhi by Gandhi replying when He(capital H plz) was asked to launch mass violent struggle against british( small b plz). Another line that really electrified me was when He gives His first speech to Indian congress.

“India will never convince british as long as congress is filled with lawyers and few rich intellectuals from Delhi and Bombay. India resides in 700000 villages. Unless we touch those villages,  our struggle will be just small incidents of small strikes and few terror strikes which will give british reason for further repression.”

No wonder, congress was like a club with intellectuals and lawyers  than a mass organistion which geared up to throw britishers  out of India…only discussion and analysis club than action-oriented machine…till Gandhi stepped in.

I think Richard attenbourgs Gandhi is one original dvd one should have for rest of life. Every time we watch we get different insights. So much inspiring and awe felt.

Its so surreal to see India during  britsh era. Vacant lands, dress, environment, colonial architectures (awesome buildings, trust me I lived in them fer half a decade), cars and trains. Fantastic feeling.

One book I recommend is Domnique laperries “FREEDOM AT MIDNIGHT”. It’s a narrative of political environment during last stages of british rule in 1940s. belive it or not. Its so spine chilling which will move anyone  to deep contemplation in profound silence. Entire country goes to flames under savage communal riots. Behind the scenes of making of two young countries. India and pakistan.  How trains crossing borders between Punjab and Pakistan coming in deathly silence  coz all its passengers were brutally murdered and raped. Only dead bodies arrive. No time in world history does such mass migration takes place. Millions of people on trains,bullock carts, horses,palanquins etc..leaving everything and going to far off lands just being at wrong place with wrong religion. 

Two hundred years of idea of India torn into two pieces.

Unimaginable tragedy and holocaust and genocide Indians have gone through at time of independence is story every Indian should know to understand freedoms we have today which we take so granted.

Probably other book that evokes similar sentiment is TRAIN TO PAKSITAN by kushwant singh. Fictious tale but based on truth. Try latest version which comes with photos as well.

But what to do ...Truth has to be adhered ..I always speak Truth, nothing but truth.I speak truth as much as lawyers speak in court or kid speaks about his report card.The Truth is i was not aware ..it was so subtle . its like blink-u-wud-miss truth.Its almost invisible. Just like nano size element. But its still in the plain sight of all Indians yet we all missed it in acknowledging the truth. The Truth is ..

India got invaded and is conquered by Pakistan and China..!!! How and Why and When are obvious questions by you ignorant, sleeping Indians.

Preamble:Little bit of history before we get into main theme...The sadest reality since 1947 is that India had no chioce n luxury in choosing its neighbours. We seem to have more enemies in our backyard than friends whom we can count.We all know India had fought 1948,65,71 and kargil war with pakistan(n won most of time)(if you dont know anything about these wars ,watch BORDER for 1971 war where garam sunny deol ravages entire paksitan platoon in one roar) and in 1962 with china where we lost in most disgraceful manner ...(I didnt include all those wars we played sportively on playgrounds like cricket, hockey,kabbadi matches, hide n seek games (played exculsively by Pak based terrorists with Indian Special forces soldiers) we play with pakistan and and olympic games where China won enough medals in single event that would outstrip all medals we won in all olympics fer next 10 years n in last 70 years)








Comming back to Present ., let us deal with China 1st

Case of China is like "Crouching Tiger(India) and Hidden Dragon(Chinese)".We are always alert yet dragon is hidden in India .Without knowledge of Intelligence.,Army etc they successfully conquered India. How How come we missed sight of so many Chinese Fast food Centres almost in every galli/mohalla/lane/bylane/higway/roadway/noway dishing out Gobi Manchuria,Shezwan Rice,Hakka noodles,Cantonese chicken etce etc .All these recipes are places in China.Unknowingly they conquered Indias palate and taste and the way we eat things.Our Indian recipies are over written by chinese in hotel menus...See they are in plain sight yet gone unnoticed. no wonder chinese are masters of disguise

Coming to our best friend which never never leaves us.As inseparable as Pani and Puri in Pani-Puri and Tom and Jerry, DevD-Kalki,.Yeah ., its our Hot & Sweet Pakistan...Though our Bollywood n Saas-Bahu conqured Pakistan since time of Piracy and Cable connections., Pakstan took uiltimate revenge last week when they sent their brand new Hyper Lovely,Ultra-Beautful, Electrifyingly-Cute Foreign Minister "Hina Rabbani Khan"(HRK ala SRK))..every Man in India was oggling at this breath taking beauty where as every women perhaps was fumbling with jealousy as their men were transfixed at this young beauty..All nespapers were more interested in taking her photos rather than focus on theme ((incase u forget its "Indo-pak talks")).No one knows what our foreign minister S.M.Krishna(who wasnt seen in any newspaper though He was the host) has spoken with HRK..(guess he must have asked her personal phone number and emial id ).If this HRK was in India , she wud have been next model fer Pepsi youngistan or heroine next to Rajinikanth or bollywoods SRK (SRK+HRK=Rab ne Bana di Jodi ...wasnt that film flop??)







Now entire Indian Strategists and Patriot Planners and Diplomats are in state of tumble.India has to counter Hina-PR-Coup in India before her spell is cast on all 75+aged dynamic Ministers and they agree to every honey dipped words of Hina(who knows ..they might even agree to give away Kashmir without givig Bihar as free gift.One plus One Free offer). They scoured for Warriors who could counter attack HRK charm either by Charming her or Charring her.

First choice fell on Uncle Amar singh . But Jayapradha wont agree .

Second choice came upon Ranbir Kapoor but He is totally unpredictable fickle tapori..Today Hina ., tommroow Katrina.

Third choice was on Ultimate play boy of India and former 85 year old AP governor who was caught on tape with not one but 4 young women on bed(yeh dil manga more ..what a man ...iam sure he could be brand ambassador for Viagara). He can destroy entire batallion of women singlehandledly but the poor man is busy fighting cases in court when his illegitamate son sued against him





Finally they decided to field our own Chocolate boy Rahul Gandhi to counter Honeyed Hina..As none of our Dynamic youth leaders are less than 75 and with Rahul Gandhi has taken celibecy after his foreign Mom Sonia broke his heart by not allowing him to marry his foreign venezeluen GF, Our strategists had to think think think ...strain their brains till trains of thoughts come with Eureka moment ....Finally they came up with solution ...

To Counter Hina ..make Foreign Minister KATRINA ...

Gentlemen ..as we celebrate our 60 year of Indian republic .ponder over few things ...

1) why does world still view India as poor ...poverty ridden ...ugly ...villagefilled ...uneducated ...elephants ...maharajahs..land of sadhus and snake charmers .. and .white mans burden ...????

2) How come they dont want to believe that India is now TRILLION DOLLAR ECONOMY ..that too we have reached that stage in record of 17 years (no country ..not even out imperial gora phoren usa/uk has done that feat)....maximum they think we are colonies of call centres eating chicken tikka ,praying snakes and driving elephants to work....

3) How come slum dog millionaire which made it to oscars ...but movies like Rang de basanti ...or guru ...or chak de ..etc cubdt make it ..?...It looks like judges of oscars are still addicted to old India where poverty and philosphy is vogue ...slumdog shows them what they wud like to belive ...India is land of slums .....oh my ..looks like they are making mockery of Indian progress..

4)...Why did david milibind ...the britains(not capital B..they dont deserve respect) foreign secretary visted village hut in amethi to get feel of India?...why not see world class infrastructural wonders if infosys or .Technological temples like ISRO ..or witness some of awesome missiles we build at balasore ....delhi-gurgaon corridor.??

Yeah ..In India we still have many maladies ..i agree ..corruption ..casteism ..traffic chaos .....paritsanism...terrorism ..nepotism ...etc etc many more etcs ....but friends ..these are something that are every where ...in every country.Every country has its share of problems based on its history, culture , and circumstances .But like any suucesfful country ,, they over come them....Every country on this planet has gone through it .Overcome it.Became successfull and developed..

Let us compare with most powerful and richest country on the planet United States of America......

If you say Castism is biggest headache.Remeber America had Class problem.Black and White racist wars and Alabama chain gangs prisons

If you say Corruption such as bribery and poliltics based on money and seat purchase...let us not ferget the sale of obama seat after his exit to presidency.You can say laws should be tough like in arabia.Remeber Saudi Arabia took bribe of 1 billion dollars from birtish military industry.Saudi arabia pays millions of dollars to religious terrorists to keep them at bay.Laws are tough on commoners but not on elite who can flout rules at will.If worls speaks of satyam scandal, we ca point to enron of usa and not forgetting all those tranatlantic corporations like lehmenn brothers,freddie mac ..fannie mae etc ....

If you say Reservation.Trust me ., even harvard university has reservation system so does developed countries like paris Ecole universities.If depressed classes are not helped , on longer run entire country gets affected.Forget not american affirmative action was reservation system created fer  for blacks.Maybe not the name is same but essence is the same .

If africa is not rescued from its poverty , entire world gets affected sooner or later.It already started ...see how somalian pirates are keeping entire world on tender hooks by attacking every ship passing through gulf of aden..Entire world is connected and all our destines are interlinked .We all have to move at equal pace .

People say Govt reservation should not be there.People who say, are the people who belive that its affects their lives.Ok.Fine.Then why should Govt give billions of ruppees as loans to private industry.why should govt bailout banks that fail by injecting hard earned tax payer money ?.You can use word "Economic Stimulus" for this act ...once again ..all word are symbolic ..but substance of Reservation and Stimulus are same .That is provide crutch to enable to things keep going...

Terrorism/secularism/corruption : Which country hasnt faced it ...?USA, to Russia ...to Afrcian to even Pakistan .Tell me which country has given so much freedom to minorities?Only in India can we find minorities have equal footing with majority.Tell me in chich country does a State has guts to arrest dominants religons leader like we had done to Swami of Shankaracharya few years back???Every country is characterieed by its dominant religion .In usa caption is In "God we trust"..We all know what that God means.Christainity.Japanese is shinto buddhism...saudi is hard core islamic country .. .But whats Indias caption ?Satyama jayaete!!!!Truth Triumphs!!!.100% secularism..yeah there might be few cases ..But they are mere aberration ..

every country has its own share of problems.Remeber we are just 60 years old .Maybe from human age point of view 60 is very big number but from nations point of view , we are not even adolscents.Remember americas freedom came in year of 1766. and britain is far more old .From 1766 .it slolwy evolved at its own sweet time before becoming wolrds stringest country.

India has developed on super fast scale that is totally unknown on this planet.Its just in 1990 we had opened up to the world and finally within 18 years we have have come this far.Thats amazing. Imagine this ..we are not japan which has never been colonised ..nor is britain where everyone speaks one language ..nor we are china where there is dictatorship nor we are saudi arabia there is single religion ...

We are Indians ..where everything and every aspect changes with every 50 kilometres.Everything ..language...culture ...history ...etc.So governing such a vast country with mind boggling diversities is just very difficult ...and thats the main reason for our slow pace ..

Believe like i believe in India .Have faith in India and its future.We are bound to be World Leaders long before you shut your eyes eternally..........JaiHind!!!
