I guess I don’t remember any movie that has unleashed such a mass hysteria .It seem to be the most waited movie. Awesome budget, Deadly combo of Rajini-Shankar-Rahman has let loose new bench mark in Indian cinema stables. Media burnt midnight oil to tune itself to frenzy fans frequency .All national channels have upped their creative ammunition to face the media war that, as expected as waged to garner maximum TRP rating as movie got released . Last time I guess Media went so berserk in covering the festive like event was when India went to finals in World cup.

Its really a festival in Chennai with tickets prices soaring as far as 3000/- or more for metaphoric 1st day 1st show. This one movie and everything connected to it seem to be good enough for all sociologists to go for star thesis for their doctorates in social research . Fans praying for success, huge cut outs, cutting their bodies to please their favourite deity. It seems Shivaji movie has generated every flavour that a utopian movie should generate .


I really wonder if any movie star can generate hype of this range. This is the age of coalition govt and coalition movies with few exceptions. Bollywood is no longer ruled by The-One . No longer it is Amitabh Bachan or Tri-Khans. Rarely one single star carries the entire burden on his shoulders unless he is sharukh khan or amir khan . Even they have span , But Rajini kanth like a colossus seem never to get tired to hit the bull’s-eye at box-office irrespective his age . No one needs to say who is the real Boss is ..its always there to see……...

This was the description of an ultra pretty gujarati gal whom i met few days back.Everything went like clockwork till she over looked one point.Dressed to kill can attract scavenging and satiating eve teasers .It was totally out of blue and this unwanted suitor was bent on talking to her and luckily he was mild teaser and left before anything serious can happen .Comming out of no where , a total unknown person who is trying to strike conversation or trying to pass some vulgar comment can really perplex anyone and leave a bad scar on memory.

You need not be as beautiful as this tiny sweet gal pal of mine , it can happen to anyone irrespective of ur gender.Either the perpetrator can be highly frustrated and perveted or really dangerous or just harmless chap looking fer some fun at ur cost.

From my vague birds view knowledge on martial arts and psychology behind a combat i will pen downfew thoughts of mine which i may or may not come in handy and i gurantee no results but neverthless helpful in our daily life .

Half of combat/fight can be seen through our body languages .No person will pick up a fight or a arguement with a heavily built macho man. and no one can say absolutely that he/she is the strongest either.Strength doesnt lies in muscles but in mind.One can read a woman from 1000 yards and say if she is confident and composed or timid and insecure or is she willing to talk or not .If a gal can kep herself calm n composed demeanour , more often than not , it keeps teasers away. We can always say if she is or she isnt confident.See the way she folds her hands close to her chest and with head down and seeing at sides as if she is new to the place. On contrary, see how an a confident gal walks . she has the confidence radiating in her gait and looks straight into eyes with head up.How ever all these signs need not be true as can vary according to culture and circumstances and fer a person who is a risk taker, nothing can stop him.

In such a circumstances , trying to rush away or getting scared only boosts opponents confidence.If things of nasty type occur in broad day light and with fewer crowd around , its always fine to face them or him .Just looks straight into his eyes and utter no word .Let there be no expression on ur face .if possible give a crude- rude look and maintain stone dead silence for an extended period .Silence can be killing and best of men will get wilted as it upsets anyone as silence can be frustrating.After piercing gaze fer few moments just turn away ur face n walk out.
Now if we move to still dangerous rascals who are out for a real kill, its not psychological but physical combat that comes into handy.Running is the best option.If ur good at running , Run off to some crowded area and take help of public , police .They are always eager crowd to help a damsel in distress.

Even the strongest man has the weakest point.Strong man need not be brave man and vice versa .

If we can kep our head calm and composed we can escaoe from most of situations with little or no big damages.But it should be clearly remebered ,Once u get into combat , dont expect clean fight and dont fear about consequences,Fear ,Shame, Pride and Pain should be dumped in the nearest dustbin.There is no such thing as clean fight.Both the combatants have ro face injuries and the one who endured the most is the survivor and the victorious .

Look at a human body, there are many weak points .Groin,Eyes balls,Nose.,Lips, Throats, Stomach ,temple and now look at our own body parts , you ve got many parts which are very hard and effective fer combat.Brain being the sharpest followed by speech (Diplomacy) followed by fists , knees , elbows, hands and legs.
Strike first, strike hard, no mercy sir!
Karate lies in the mind and heart. Not in the handsIve told mind coz if we can remain calm and take things in rational manner , refuse to get panicked .Chances of victory are favourable.Combat is highly unpredictible . No results can be guaranteed .Outcome of a combat is highly seductive and its like india -pak crcicket match, till the last ball is bowled .Nothing can be foretold.When outcome is unknown .Then there is 100 % chances you winning is there.In any game one has to win and another has to lose .Then why should you lose .Let the loss be the opponents and thats the attitude and mental make-up of a fighter.


When i mean by Diplomacy i mean ability to speak smoothly persuadingly .The ability to change tone and tenor according to the crisis is the real gift that can aslo be developed slowly.The ability to bend the mind of opponents psychlogically..Something that can be practised ...can be learnt from enormous reading, thinking and practise and few failures in built.

We can always request a person not to harm us.Using words like PLEASE liberally , Boasting the opponents ego or appealing to their vanitiesor simply befriending attacker can help us.But to do all these it requires sioe drop in our ego, oride , vanity.But what good is ego , when life is at risk.??

One can always negotiate or just throw money in small bills into air and run (Street Diplomacy is very well written in books like POWER /GODFATHER/JASON DIRECTIVE by Robert ludlum ).We can use religious sermons to subtle threats like My-Papa-is-Police-Commisoner or i am infected with highly infectious skin disease....etc ,but your tone and tenor should always coincide with body langauge to sound convincing..

The best option is always RUN .My master is super strong person knows every inch of combat yet when asked about the question of combat he calmly says Run !Violence breeds Violence .There is no shame ion running away .But when cornered , you can block and run way.....But when u have no option ....let there be no ethics and sentiments and no values .Just go for a kill.One has to be mega brutal.

We should always take up the initiative .From defending , we should become attacker.Prey should become Predator.Let your 1st shot be very powerful on the weakest points, like groin or eyes.Use your nails as claws or knees or elbows in damaging weak points beyond repair .You can always choke opponent or gouge eyes with ur nails.You can head-butt or spit into face .Rmeber till tyhe last moment , victory can swing into anyones favour regardless of facilities available..Keep your calm , remeber u have 2 hands and 2 legs and a head..When panicked we ferget all these parts .Even one hand is loose , it can be put to the deadliest effect.Scream shoud be blood curdling.It can strike fear into enemys hearts

One can always convert ordinary things into deadly weapons.A newspaper can be folded into a club.House keys can used to punch or gouge eyes.Knife or Screwdriver is as deadly as Knife.Mud can be thrown into eyes and zandu balm can be thrown on head.Anything, anything can be turned into a weapon.
PUSH-PULL-GOUGE-BITE-CLAW-PUNCH-KICK-SPIT-SCREAM-NEGOTIATE-RUN.....
Its not one style but combination of all that can be helpful.Never can be a combat be won with one single technique.Its the misture of all available resourcves and thats should be continoulsy imprivised depending on situation.Once you attack , attack like a brute .No consequneces , No sentiments.Just fight till the end and to the end.Dont run away from problems .Keeping looking for solutions

Tribute To Dhyan Chand-Wizard of Hockey

World Cup 2007 is just around the corner.Will India repeat 1983 ?Will David lift the coveted cup like Kapil devils did in 1983 prudential world cup? Will he ?Wont he ?....Typical hamletian dilemma .Bets are placed running to thousands of crores. Sacin Saurav last world cup ! Will they fire with their cylinders ?India-Pakistan match is real hot one that world looks forward. ......or a moment ferget everyone,,...ferget sachin , sania whose victories neevr met with world bests standards ...meet Dhyan Chand the greatest.

Major Dhyan Chand Singh (1905-08-29–1979-12-03) was a former Indian hockey player and Olympian who is regarded as one of the greatest hockey players. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour. He got the title "Chand" or (moon) from his first coach, Pankaj Gupta, who had predicted that he would one day shine like a chand or moon.


Dhyan Chand who was called the Wizard of Hockey played as though ball was stuck to the stick! SO much so , Tokyo officials during one of his travels broke his hockey stick while looking fer somesticking device inside.

Indians were leading 1-0 at the half timein 1936 summer olympics at Berlin . In second half, they scored 7 goals. After trailing 0-6, the Germans getting scared of him are reported to have resorted to body play. In a clash with the German goalkeeper, Dhyan Chand broke one of his teeth,Returning after first aid, and after India were leading by eight goals - Dhyan Chand having scored six - he advised his players to a play possession game and teach the Germans a lesson in good, clean Hockey . India won the match 8-1, with Dhyan Chand scoring 6 goals.

A reporter said about Dhyan Chand's performance - "With a flick of the wrist, a quick glance of his eyes, a sharp turn and then another turn, and Dhyan Chand was through".
Impressed by his performance, Adolf Hitler supposedly offered to make Dhyan Chand a Field Marshal in the German army, but the latter refused


Dhyan chand one of the best players to date , has a statue of his in Vienna , built by a sports club there. The staute shows Dhyan Chand with 4 hands and 4 hockey statue . Quite a compliment



Aug 29 is observed as National Sports Day coz its Dhyan Chand s birthday.


In the world of designers shoes and shoes specially made specifically fer each sport .Dhyan Chand in Olympic games against Germany played bare foot and scored 7 goals to take the country to a massive win

Hockey is the only sport in india that has india an olympic gold .Not once but 8 times .



Chand however died penniless and uncared for in a hospital, receiving a meagre pension. Dhyan Chand was very sad to see India finish seventh at the Montreal Olympics, 1976. The Indian team included his son, Ashok Kumar. When he was on his deathbed at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, he reportedly told a doctor that Indian hockey was dying. He then went into a coma and died in 1979.

A year after his death, the Indian Postal Service issued a commemorative stamp in his honour. In addition, Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi is named in his honor.

My 1st alarm of the day screams at around 2.00 am , before it could carry its death song by half , i kill it by a violent slap on its knob .My second alarm is , Relience Cell Phone ,meets the same fate at 2.15 am .The third alarm meets little lesser harsh reply fer its hum at 2.30 , its Nokia N90 (u cant mess with costly item na).My last orbit alarm clock is small n sweet one ..it doesnt scream or rave or rant to wake me up...it just purrs at ultrasonic frequency ..since its presented by my sweet sister , i just disable it with soft touch as my ears pick up ultrasonic soft sound ...My mental state change from Zero-concious to sub concious to semi concious to almost concious to awake to fit to jump out .Well as my both my astral soul n physical part of body combine , iam ready to meet the world with its head on .Well world ..iam ready ?...Are u ?

Day has to begn in YMCA as i stay there .Life in ymca should be written along with statutes of UNO charters or atleast whould be Constitutionally recognised .If perhaps an alien from outer space visits earth n wanna catch the panorama of india . , ymca is one stop shop fer him /it. ymca can humourioulsy said human zoo with all exotic entities (call them humans if u like)caged in diffrent rooms .

we can hardly call them rooms as they are more like dens n cages ...but all are unique .Each room has a history of its own .Some rooms were inhabited by Ex galdrags mister indias and some are always filled with thick nicotone smoke that u feel that fog has decended into room.Some rooms can be designated as drinking bars as they are filled with all kinds of beverages ..from road side arrack to scotch .u find them all even on dry days.Some are karoke n band rooms and some are torally banned from public scrutiny,But yeah my room and my opposite profesors rooms can be called as libraries depts(mine is actually library cum bakery(u find tons of books n kgs of eatables))

when i say ymca is exotic i mean by spirit n letter. Its like a Times Square where u can find a person of every kind on planet.ymca is lesser since u can find every kind of indian and few firangs (foreigners )as well .Mallus (malayalis ) and mizos(mizorams) and other nortjheasterns dominate the linguistic chatter followed with hand full of tamils n telugus and fewer northindians. but ofcourse the common langauge is relic of british THE ENGLISH.If there is anything that connect all these characters , then it is (not cricket ) TV .TV with its myriad channels connects all and a person who can grab the remote considers the king of tv fer that day .Power flows from remote not gun ..an old saying in ymca.

India is a grand cocktail of diverse cultures and so in is in ymca .Men from all corners inhabit ymca ,sometimes even foreigners esp america and europe and central asian n african are part of it.Religious divides though invisible is neverthless there in occaional out bursts,...Christains are dominant followed by Hindus and 0.1 muslims.Diversity is really startling ..a veggie like me eating along with north-eastern having his dog/pork meat side by side with no objections or qualms of any sort ....Entertainments vary from different cusines of all kinds at anytime in the day to playing basket ball at 3 am or just gossiping along with beer at midnight.

YMCA has perhaps the weirdest humans .SOme young guys are still caught in time warp dreaming about zeenat aman singing Laila o laila in her sexiest outfit to some guys who always have guiters around their neck tryng to win grammys (n harrasing others with their jarring music ).There is a typical fat velloriean(tamilnadu)who believes in saving water .he goes to the extent that he doesnt take bath at all .he follows Sunday-to-Sunday principle . he takes bath only on sunday ,.A Evangalist who wanna be like tom cruise n tries adventures like mission impossible by trying to reform youth .and yeah even iam there ...Agnostically Hindu Atheist()God of hel knows what it is ?).Some divorcees who preach against marriage to 60 year old play boy painting town red flirting wirth his american girl friend(call her girl or grandmother .ur choice) (he is marrying this sept in seattle, usa)

Alma has many eminent persons cutting all fields ..from Galrdrags mister india to IAS.One american has come all the way from new jersey to learn sitar .

SPorts is fun and we always play at anytime .Am or Pm .it hardly matters basket ball ,TT ,to karate by world class teachers.and elders go fer Tai-chi .

Few months in ymca can really change ones out look fer life . one can mature fast .Elders can enjoy by re-living their life amongst youth and youngters can take advantage of their wisdom,.after all friendship has no age bar .one learns to respect all religions and cultures.Acquaintances with different languages can be real advantage and sports n freedom is real added avantage .This 90 year old offer a unique experience to one and all ..all the way taking loads of nostaligic peace in everyone cherished hearts

India got hit by Tsunami on Dec 26 /2004 and America was hit by Hurricane Katrina on Aug 25/2005 ...

When america was white washed with Katrina (that was the time when katrina of other kind ...katrina kaif ..was making rampage in every mans heart !!!).atrina showed worst side of America and exposed its under belly. The country that is worlds number 1 in economy and military was hoplessly thrown out of gear by its establishments when disaster struck.NewOrleans suffred worst of damage.New Orleans became looting arena . Gangs struck like plague ..looting ...raping ..all in broad day light .Here is some statement

Coast suffred and andaman tooks the full impact. Life was thrown out of its routine and /many many died and Govt tried its best to control the dance of death in all its forms.Diseases were rampant...bloated dead were everywhere...not a place to take shelter....But Indian
Govt came against all odds with great success .Even now if Radhakrishnan IAS(District collector of naggipatnam) goes to nagipatnam , people there will Consecrate him for the yoemen service he put forward when the help was the need of hour .Whatever problems were there , there was ot even a single incident of anarchy like it ruled new orleans ..thats Indianness....

God: Well, I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?

God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty. ..

God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better, not bitter.

Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?

God: Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?

God: Problems are:Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons to Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...

God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside.Looking outside, you dream.Looking inside, you awaken.Eyes provide sight.Heart provides insight.

Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?

God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than Knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass (direction). Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
